What is love? The secret to an eternal life. What is love at first sight.What the heart has to do with love?
Love is the king of emotions. But just like any king love can be a despot, a corrupt being, a responsible leader or an altruistic head of government. Love drives and controls lives, groups and governments. Love determines the quality of life.

Just like all other emotions love springs from the brain. As the brain has four levels each level determines its own quality of love as follows:
1) Premature mind (-2)(which is really the lowest level brain). Those who have a -2 level emotional brain are totally in love with their own self. It is a totally selfish love. Their bottom line behavior is to corner every thing for themselves. They will do everything and anything to improve their own life. They will kill, they will destroy others just to get ahead. Such selfish love is a gang leader of hate, jealousy, anger etc. The person considers himself above the law. If he is the leader he will change the law just for himself. Such love creates dictators and even produces tolerance and acceptance for dictators. The lives of murders, rapists, tyrants are all run by a brain powered by -2 level love. This -2 love does not fall in love with anyone but his own self. -2 love creates -2 life. -2 love costs the world irreplaceable damages. Such love must be banned. -2 leaders must be banned by international law. Dictators like Mugabe must be removed by UN intervention. No country must be allowed to be ruled by a -2 leader. You cannot negotiate with such leaders. Removing them is the only solution.

2) Immature mind (-1). Those who have a -1 level brain are still in love with themselves. They know that they are not above the law but they still think that they deserve to be and should be above the law. So they commit crimes and try to hide their crimes. This -1 level love is corrupt love, it is opportunistic love. Powered with this corrupt -1 love they decide to get married based on how much benefit they will extract from this union. Thus the dowry system. Marriages based on -1 love are always disasters. It is a constant struggle especially if one partner is +2 and the other is -1. The +2 partner suffers abuse and only sometimes has the courage to head for a divorce. -1 love is corrupt self love. There are whole groups and countries who's brain is powered by -1 love. Leaders are corrupt. Citizens accept corruption as a given, a fact of life. So all progress is cornered by the few. Thank God for the internet and Google and Microsoft. The internet is a border-less entity. No wonder India is doing so well in spite of all the -1 love powered life. Citizens must be made aware of the destructive power of -1 love. It affects individuals, groups and countries. Many of the 3rd World countries must be made to wake up to this -1 love in their lives.

3) Mature love (+1). This +1 love is responsible love. The person considers every one to be deserving. But loves himself and his family the best. He considers himself to be the best and so strives all life to become the best. He does not grudge others being prosperous. He wants his fair share and he strives to improve his chances to get as much as possible. He respects the law and enjoys hard work. He even helps others. +1 love creates healthy individuals, groups and countries, though it makes life hectic. Main stream education as well as governments must intervene in ensuring at least this level of love in all citizens through +2 wisdom education. +1 love equals +1 life.

4) Super Mature love (+2). This love is altruistic and selfless. The individual considers himself as part of the whole global family. Such love creates a relaxed mind 24/7. This +2 love creates wisdom powered minds. Such love empowers people, groups and countries to rise to their full potential. All peace negotiations must be entrusted to such +2 love powered minds. The aim of emotional intelligence education must be to create +2 minds enmass. +2 love means +2 life. +2 love creates eternity in the moment.

Love is the power of the brain. It is the function of the developed emotional brain power. It determines the quality of life. Love is the most beautiful force of human nature. Love is the most destructive force of human nature. Love is not innate. Love is totally learned. Love determines ones level of happiness. Culture affects love. Tradition affects love. Education affects love. Economics affects love. Above all upbringing affects love. Love at -2 destroyes individuals, groups and countries. Love at -1 keeps individuals, groups and countries struggling for survival. Love at +1 brings much prosperity for all while keeping everyone on their toes for more and more. +1 love causes restlessness and depression. It makes people over ambitious. It boosts defense budgets. Seminars and night classes must be held to develop love from +1 to +2 which is not that difficult.

Love at first sight happens because as teenagers the image of the beloved takes shape over a long period of time. The teen has already fallen in love with an imagined lover many times. So if someone who reminds him of his fantasy he promptly falls in love at first sight. This image is crafted by a host of expectations that develop over time. The object of love at first sight may be due to a certain likeness to one's favorite movie star. Even this image develops based on the quality of one own love. So when some one is spotted who triggers the same expectations as the teenager has built up then the brain feels excited. It unconsciously gives instructions to the heart to pump more oxygen to the brain. This rush of blood and the faster pumping of the heart causes an impression as if the heart is excited and as if the heart is falling in love. It is the brain that is really falling in love.

-2 love is totally blind and does everything selfishly and does not fall in love with any one else only uses others to advance his own agenda. -1 love sees an opportunistic love. It is not real love it sees perhaps riches coming his way so he really falls for the economic reasons. +1 love is responsible love. Even if he one wants to marry a beautiful women he will stay away perhaps because she is illiterate. He being a doctor will marry another doctor for he is concerned for the future of his kids. +2 love is selfless love and will marry for love and love alone.

How can love remain fresh 24/7. Love can remain fresh 24/7. As love over time becomes stale. It affects the whole family. Divorce, depression and the upbringing of the children all gets affected. So this topic is too crucial to write it off in a few lines. I am writing a new knol for this insight.
