Why is wisdom/emotional intelligence so important?

Wisdom education is most essential not just for its own sake but even more so for removing ignorance.
Wisdom is the very fundamental nature of our being. It is the purest form of our being. You can compare it to gold. Just like gold wisdom exists in an ore form. Thus wisdom has to be refined through above all emotional intelligence education. The more essential part to understand is that while gold is an added bonus, a non essential luxury of life; the quality of wisdom is essential for a fine life, a refined life. Because the wisdom ore is composed of ignorance and wisdom. This wisdom ore is what determines our real and basic human nature; its quality determines the quality of our very being as an individual, group and country. Wisdom for our mind/self/being is like blood is for our body. When the blood is contaminated the whole body becomes unhealthy. Similarly when wisdom is mixed and concealed in ignorance then the whole personality/mentality is unhealthy.

Not having pure wisdom means the wisdom ore is not refined thus we have a mixture of ignorance and wisdom running our life. It is not like gold where the absence of gold doesn't affect life. Absence of wisdom means having ignorance. And like wisdom, ignorance is a live force of nature. It is an impure entity that distorts our perception of life and everything in it; where above all it dictates how we know, understand and become our self/self image/our mind.

So if you don't understand wisdom and feel that wisdom is only for masters and prophets then you have little chance of even trying to refine your wisdom ore. The wisdom ore in every human being is real. It has a real impact on life.

Absence of wisdom means presence of ignorance. If your wisdom ore is not refined you are living in real emotional and physical pain and don't realize that it is the wisdom ore that is causing you all this frustration and misery in life. It is the unrefined wisdom ore that is responsible for all the crimes of history; from petty crimes to large scale massacres throughout history and everything in between. It is the wisdom ore that controls the lives of gangsters, fanatics and all the evil amongst us. Thus we must not only actualize our wisdom potential for its own sake we must actualize it for the sake of removing the impure ignorance, the part that is a cancer ruining and running our lives; individual, group and country.

It is like bathing. One does it for pleasure. But more important we do it to remain clean and healthy. If we do not bathe we eventually start smelling and attract all kinds of bugs and eventually start to getting unhealthy. Its like you have no choice either you can be clean or remain dirty or in between. In the case of wisdom most of us become clean of the wisdom ore up to 75% and thus we appear tolerably clean of the wisdom ore. Unfortunately the 25% impurity controls our lives. In fact even the economic crisis in America and the world is the direct result of the 25% impure wisdom ore running/ruining our lives!

We must wake up to the fact that our developed wisdom potential can be at -2, -1 +1 or/and +2. If you want a +2 life for yourself and your group then we must as a first step understand that we get wisdom in the form of wisdom ore. And we have to take steps to refine this ore. If we don't refine it then it still affects us. There is no escape.

Only by removing ignorance we achieve wisdom and the sooner we realize this, especially our leaders of education, can we bring the kind of change that President Obama is taking about. So lets start taking the steps needed to create wisdom not only for its own sake but more essentially for the sake of removing ignorance from our individual and group lives.
